Learn to sew while getting a head start on Christmas!

This is a relaxed, hands-on 6 week sewing course for complete beginners. I’ll guide you through everything step-by-step, from threading your machine to confidently using a pattern and finishing your own projects.

You’ll leave with new skills and a few Christmas presents already ticked off your list.

When:

Wednesday nights from 6pm - 9pm
14th October – 18th November 2026
6 sessions over 6 weeks

Where:

The Incubator, Historic Village, Tauranga

What we’ll make:

5 projects, including:
A scrunchie, re-usable gift bags, a book sleeve, a christmas stocking, and a pair of children’s shorts.

What’s included:

Six 3-hour lessons in a fully equipped sewing studio, patterns and instructions, fabric for your first project, all your sewing equipment, my guidance throughout, a glass of bubbly and some yummy treats to nibble on throughout the session.

You’ll just need to supply your own fabric for the later projects. I’ll give you clear guidance on what you’ll need and how to find it.

Cancellation Policy

A Note About Our Policy

These policies are in place because our courses are intentionally small, with only 8 places available. When you book, we commit studio space, equipment, teaching time and course resources to your place for the full six weeks. This allows us to keep the course small, personal and hands-on, while making sure the course remains fair and sustainable for everyone.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to sewing with you!

    • A minimum of 7 days' notice before the first session is required to receive a full refund.

    • If you cancel less than 7 days before the course begins, we are unable to offer a refund, as your place, studio space, equipment and course resources have been allocated to you.

    • If you can no longer attend, you are welcome to transfer your place to another person, subject to prior approval from Little Magnolia. The replacement participant must agree to these terms and be able to attend the full course.

    • Once the course has commenced, course fees are non-refundable and cannot be credited for missed sessions.

  • As this is a progressive six-week course, each session forms part of the complete programme.

    • If you are unable to attend one or more sessions, we are unable to refund or transfer the cost of the missed session.

    • We are unable to guarantee a catch-up session, as places in our classes are limited.

    • Where practical, we will provide instructions or guidance to help you continue with your projects at home and catch up with the group.

  • In the unlikely event that Little Magnolia needs to cancel a session due to illness or unforeseen circumstances:

    • We will make every effort to arrange an alternative session at a suitable time.

    • If an alternative session cannot be provided, you will be offered an appropriate credit or refund for the affected session.

    • We will contact you directly using the details provided at booking.

  • Item deIf you need to cancel your booking or arrange to transfer your place to someone else, please email us at hellolittlemagnolia@gmail.com with:

    • Your full name

    • The course you are booked into

    • Whether you would like to cancel or transfer your place

    • If transferring, the full name and contact details of the person taking your place

    Please wait for confirmation from Little Magnolia before considering your cancellation or transfer complete.

    For cancellations, the date we receive your written request will be used to determine whether your booking falls within the 7-day cancellation period.

    For transfers, the new participant must be approved by Little Magnolia and agree to the course terms and conditions. Your place remains your responsibility until the transfer has been confirmed.

    Please note that transfers are only available before the course begins and are subject to approval.
