Why it all started

Little Magnolia began quietly in 2022, as a way to find myself again after becoming a mum. Amid the everyday of little hands and big love, sewing was a small space where I could create meaningful pieces for my daughter and nieces. It was a way to hold on to something just for me, while keeping the children at the heart of it all.

Friends often said, “You should be selling these.” And slowly, I realised this was more than a hobby. It was a return to my first love: fashion design, but done differently. Thoughtfully. With care. And all while working around my little ones naps.

Everything here is made with a gentle purpose. The clothes are designed to last, to be worn now and again next season. To grow with your child, not be outgrown overnight. I choose fabrics that breathe and endure, like organic cotton and New Zealand merino, and colours and prints that complement each other, made to mix and match.

We don’t chase trends. Instead, we offer pieces that hold stories. Each garment is a little way of saying “you matter” to your child, your family, and the earth.

If cared for kindly, these pieces will wear slowly and age beautifully. They will hold memories, passed from one child to the next.
